WORKER HEALTH & SAFETY AWARENESS PROGRAM
This Worker Health & Safety Awareness e-Learning program presents an interactive design for education and training on basic health and safety awareness training for all workers. The goal of this training program is to give participants knowledge and information which they can understand and apply to keep healthy and safe at work today and every day.

OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this training program participants will be able to:
  • Understand the health and safety role that they play in the workplace.
     
  • Understand general requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and related information including workplace health and safety policies and procedures, material safety data sheets, Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) and the company's Health and Safety Representative.
     
  • Recognize potential health and safety hazards they may encounter in the workplace.
     
  • Identify ways to create and promote a healthy and safe workplace.
TRAINING PROGRAM DURATION

Average time to complete this Worker Health & Safety Awareness e-Learning program is approximately 35-45 minutes. This e-Leaning program is self-paced. Participants may pause/leave the online training program at any time and can resume where they left off.

TARGET AUDIENCE

All workers in Ontario workplaces must complete mandatory health and safety awareness training.
 
EVALUATION PROCESS
Each program includes mandatory self-check and scenario-based testing throughout the e-Learning program to verify that participants understand course content. Participants must pass the final quiz to complete the program. Those who do not pass must review the content and re-test until a passing grade is obtained. Upon successful completion of the program, participants can download and print a Certification of Completion which includes their name and the date of training.
 
SUPERVISOR HEALTH & SAFETY AWARENESS PROGRAM
This Supervisor Health & Safety Awareness e-Learning program presents an interactive design for education and training on basic health and safety awareness training for supervisors. The goal of this training program is to give participants knowledge and information which they can understand and apply to keep the people they supervise healthy and safe at work every day.

OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this training program participants will be able to:
  • Understand the health and safety responsibilities associated with being a supervisor.
     
  • Describe how they fit into the Internal Responsibility System (IRS) and how the employer, supervisor and worker cooperate to maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
     
  • Recognize, assess, control, and evaluate hazards in the work environment.
     
  • Understand sources of Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and its regulations as well as information including workplace health and safety policies and procedures, material safety data sheets, operating manuals, recommendations of the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) and the company's Health and Safety Representative.
     
  • Demonstrate the steps needed to be a good role model for other workers in the workplace and be able to explain the importance of following the workplace health and safety policies and procedures. As a good example we would like to reach out to Get man and van based in London for their exquisit support and total commitment to our values of work and safety when it comes to removal services in Greater London.
